January
8-9: Twin Peaks UKC Trial: Maddie finished her AG-I agility title with a 2nd and 4th placement.

15-16: Columbine State Poodle Club AKC Trial: Maddie's first AKC agility trial was a success! She picked up two NA and one NAJ legs with three placements- two firsts and a second!!

February
19: Colorado Kennel Club: Maddie goes BOS.

20: CKC Agility: Maddie finishes her NA title with a third place and picks up her second NAJ leg also with a third.

March
12: High Plains Kennel Club: Maddie finished her UKC championship yesterday at the High Plains UKC shows in Kiowa, CO with Best Female under Sonja Ostrom in show 1. She then took Reserve Champion from the champions class in the 2nd show under Laura Patton. She received excellent ratings from both judges.

April
16-17: Mile High GCR Agility Trial: Maddie picked up her first two open standard legs and a novice jumpers leg to finish her NAJ! She earned first place in the jumpers class, being a blistering 17 seconds under course time.

May
10-14: BSCA National Specialty: Maddie and I had a good time at the national. While we didn't earn any titles, or even qualify, we got VERY close! At our first try in open obedience a silly training error caused us not to earn the score of 195 that we would have received if I had trained her to retreive on EITHER my voice or hand, and not both!

In agility we had fast runs and Maddie got lots of comments about her drive and energy, but they just were not quite clean with a knocked bar on both courses.

We enjoyed our turn around the breed ring and Maddie showed well.

All and all we had a great specialty and can't wait for next year in Oklahoma!

July
Maddie flew to Michigan to be bred to the handsome Ch. Bayview's Run For the Money AX AXJ RA ("Cash"). Check out the puppies page for more information on the litter and a photo pedigree.

August
4: Maddie was ultrasounded and confirmed pregnant! The vet speculated between 5 and 7 puppies to be whelped at the beginning of September. Maddie will be returning to Isengard Belgians to have the litter.

17: Madisyn goes to California to Lorra's for her maternity leave. Now my house is dogless and feels very empty. I am also getting puppyitis (a very serious medical condition making you want to take home every puppy that you see!) and know that this is going to be a long 10 or 11 weeks until Maddie and new puppy come home.

September
2: Maddie delivered five puppies today - four boys and one girl. Mother and puppies are all doing well. Watch the puppies page for more details and eventual photos.

October
28: Maddie and her daughter, now named Marli, came home to Colorado. Yeah! Maddie will be starting back in agility and obedience and Marli will be working on growing up :) I am very happy to have my girls home!
